Quality Control

QUALITY CONTROL

Consistency Starts With a Written Specification.

Polyurethane foam should not be approved by appearance or hand feel alone. We confirm the agreed material, dimensions, application, and inspection criteria before production.

Inspection framework

Define what matters before the batch is made.

Density & hardness

Target values, test method, sampling plan, and acceptance range are agreed for the product and application.

Rebound & recovery

Response after compression is reviewed together with density and hardness rather than treated as a stand-alone claim.

Mechanical performance

Where applicable, checks can include tensile strength, tear resistance, compression set, and fatigue performance.

Dimensional control

Custom-cut parts are checked against the approved drawing or sample, with tolerance reviewed for the material and geometry.

Traceability

Support for batch-level follow-up.

Batch identification helps investigate a performance concern after delivery. Product labels, spray-stamped codes, inspection records, or related production references may be used according to the agreed order process.

Quality evidence is project-specific. Available records and test reports depend on the selected material, production route, sampling plan, and documentation agreed before production.

Market requirements

Standards must match the application and destination.

Examples may include CA117 for selected US furniture applications, BS5852, BS7176, or BS7177 for selected UK applications, and FMVSS 302 for automotive materials. The exact standard, test scope, laboratory, documentation, and acceptance criteria must be confirmed before production.

Responsible positioning: Material-grade foam is not represented as a certified finished aerospace, rail, automotive, or medical component unless the relevant evidence is specifically available for that order.

Third-party testing

Independent testing can be discussed at quotation stage.

Where required, third-party testing and supporting documentation can be arranged subject to laboratory availability, cost, lead time, sample preparation, and the selected standard.

Prepare your quality request

Share the details that determine the inspection plan.

Please provide the product application, destination market, drawing or sample, target density and hardness, dimensions, quantity, required test standard, documentation needs, and any special packaging or labeling requirements.

  • Tensile, tear, and compression-set testing equipment where required
  • Calipers, gauges, and dimensional inspection fixtures

Methods reviewed by project

  • Density testing by recognized laboratory methods
  • Hardness testing such as IFD or compression-load measurement
  • Compression set, fatigue, tensile, and tear testing where applicable
  • Flammability standards such as CA117, BS5852, BS7176, BS7177, or FMVSS 302 when applicable
  • Third-party testing when required and available

Traceability records

Records we can organize

  • Batch identification and production reference
  • Confirmed material and dimensional specification
  • Inspection record and acceptance notes
  • Packing list, labels, and shipment references
  • Certificates of conformance or third-party reports where available

Sample certificate policy

Representative inspection documents, test reports, and certificate examples can be provided on request. Each document is valid only for the material, batch, test scope, and standard stated on that document.

Inspection stages

1. Incoming reviewMaterial identity and batch references are checked against the approved specification.
2. Production controlDensity, hardness, dimensions, and process parameters are monitored to the agreed plan.
3. Curing and measurementSamples are reviewed after curing for rebound, recovery, and dimensional behavior.
4. Fabrication checkCNC-cut and molded parts are checked against drawings or approved samples.
5. Final recordsInspection notes, packing records, labels, and batch references are organized before shipment.
